AC3Filter 1.05a – Audio / Video Filter Plug-in

Posted in Fun Stuff, Utilities, Windows

AC3Filter

AC3Filter Project is back and alive! This plugin is very handy for some codec that does not perform well when playback some encoded movie files, such as DivX or Mpeg. AC3Filter is a DirectShow filter for AC3 decoding to play .AVI with AC3 audio tracks and MPEG2 (DVD). Though this may sound like an old release, but it’s a good as the latest available. Furthermore, the latest release of AC3Filter 1.05a is now available!

This is a free (open source) distribution, but it is as good as any other audio/video filter plugin that you can get elsewhere. For instance, if your .avi playback allows you to hear the background sound, but not the narration of the casts, then this may fix your problem.

Upon activation, the windows will take off in the screen and flutter in the void. On any mouse movement, the windows will immediately come back and stuck to their original position. Totally amazing, and eye-catching!

LAN Voice Chat 1.0 – Voice Communication over Local Area Network

Posted in Business Software, Site News, Utilities, Windows

LAN Voice Chat

Dedicated especially for LAN (Local Area Network) communication, LAN Voice Chat 1.0 allows you to call users over the LAN and talk to them as though it is over a phone. This is very similar to, or rather like, those VoIP (Voice over IP) services, such as MSN Messenger,Yahoo Messenger, Skype, GoogleTalk…etc, except that it is only dedicated to LAN networks. Hence, there is no compromise of security as data packets are not transferred over a third-party network.

All that is needed for the equipment is just only a cheap microphone, and you can get voice communication for FREE.
