Had a hard time trying to solve Sudoku? Given up and want to know the answer? In that case, GNUDoQ 0.94 is what you will need. GNUDoQ is an open source, graphical Sudoku generator, as well as a solver.

This application simply creates new puzzles for you to solve every time you requested for it, and if necessary even tells you the answer to difficult Sudoku problems. GNUDoQ is a free software and is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).

The game is capable of running on various platforms, i.e. Mac OS X, native X11, and Windows. Some of the features are as follow.

File sharing can never be easier with AllPeers 0.54.1 Beta. This application is a Firefox extension that allows users to share anything, from files to images, audio files and video files with family and friends. There is no file size limit with this utility.

To use this application, simply join and create your own sharing community using this utility. The setup procedure is pretty straightforward. Once done, you can start sharing files with your peers.

Ext2Fsd 0.31 – Mount Linux Partition in Windows

It is easy for Linux users to mount Windows partition, such as FAT16, FAT32 or even NTFS under Linux or UNIX environment, but it is not always easy the other way round. For a long time, mounting Linux file systems in Windows has occasionally caused problem to the file organisation, even to the extend of corrupting the files. Now, we have Ext2Fsd 0.31, a utility tool which allows users to mount Linux partitions in Windows.

This feature, however, is only applicable to filesystem type EXT2 only. EXT3 and other file systems, such as Reiser, are not supported. The latest release of version 0.31 includes implementation for Windows Vista support.

Basically the process is quite simple; on the browser, right-click onto a link to a YouTube video or at the background of the YouTube site showing the video and choose action – Download YouTube Video.

Normally, how would you create icon files? Most users would tend to use professional graphical tools, such as Photoshop, or GIMP. However, is it necessary to use such powerful tools to do really simple stuffs? That’s like “over-exaggerating” the tool. If you have a image file and would like to convert to an icon file, try Easy Picture2Icon.

With Picture2Icon 2.1, users can easily create nice Windows icons using the pictures or digital photos easily and quickly.

The application supports conversion of digital images from the following formats: BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG, to ICO format. Furthermore, this software also has support for making transparent icons, allowing users to choose which colour to make them transparent. The resulting .ico file can be of user-selected size.

Note that, this application is written for the Microsoft .NET Framework. Hence, users would need to have .NET Framework installed in the computer before installing Easy Picture2Icon.
