Even since for the past few months, Dr. DivX is not longer available, which is instead replaced by the new DivX Converter. The previous popularly used Dr. DivX 1.x encoding application is no long available, following the confirmation by DivX website.

However, users may still be pleased to know that there is a new open source Dr. DivX 2.0 version.

    I believe Dr. DivX is a much useful software than what the official DivX Converter has now. I used Dr. DivX for past several years and it has been a very good encoding tools in terms of high-definition scenes and small file size. Excellent product for encoding movie files.
