Skype 2.5 Beta for Windows
Posted in Fun Stuff, Linux, Mac OS, Web Apps, Windows

Skype has introduced Skype 2.5 Beta for Windows. Skype has made Skype 2.5 easier to install and get connected up to the internet. Furthermore, users will find it easier to pay for the premium features, such as the SkypeOut services.
Some of the new features include SMS (short messaging services) functions and the ability to automatically update to major releases of Skype once there is a new release. Hotfixes update can also be configured to be updated automatically.
Skype 2.5 Beta is only available in the Windows platform. For other operating systems platforms, there are linux and Mac OS releases available from the Skype website.
This new release has tons of bug fixes and new features. I will not list them here this time. The change log can be found here.
Note that, this is a beta release, and possible bug may exists.
If you prefer the stable version, you may want to choose Skype 2.0 instead.
