The most popular multimedia player, Winamp, has revealed the beta version of their next major release 5.25 Beta Build 801 through MajorGeeks website. This application is a multimedia player allowing users to playback audio and video files, supporting several file formats. It is capable of handling CDs, MP3 audio files, streaming audio and video broadcasts, and even multiple video files.

The interface features a playlist editor, 10-band graphic equaliser as well as some other features such as video panel. It also includes Windows Media Technology 4.0 input/output support and the industry-standard Fraunhofer MP3 decoder.
