From the early release source provided by Cybernet, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7 is prepared to be released soon, I suppose within the next few days. The new release includes several security fixes and enhancement to product stability.

As Mozilla has yet to announce its release, the release page are still not available, and so were the fixed security vulnerabilities pages.

Change Log:

    Release Date: September 14, 2006

    Fixes

    • - Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.8.0.7)
    • - Popup-blocker cross-site scripting (XSS)
    • - Frame spoofing using document.open()
    • - RSA Signature Forgery
    • - Concurrency-related vulnerability
    • - Auto-Update compromise through DNS and SSL spoofing

    Additional Changes
    On Linux, Firefox now follows GTK’s setting for textbox keybindings, so pressing Ctrl+letters triggers application shortcuts instead of readline-like text-editing shortcuts.
