Hakia Beta – New Search Engine

Released just last month, hakia beta is the latest search engine in town. So, we already have Google, what is good about hakia that attracts users?

First of all, it’s a totally new stuff, and usually geeks love to get their hands “dirty” on new gadgets such as this. Secondly, hakia is a venture-backed, multi-national team company based in New York. Because of this huge finiancial backing, there is a great expectation to raise the bar in the search engine community. Furthermore, it is known that former US senator Bill Bradley is also part of the board member.

Compared to Google, you might feel that the interace is almost quite similar to the latter. However, the engine prompts users not just to enter keywords, but also questions. For instance, “What is the population of Britain?

Based on some artificial intelligence to understand meaning of the sentence, but does it really fully understand everything? Well, that’s for you to find out.

Note that the full debute of hakia will be operational in 2007. Nonetheless, you can still access and use hakia today. Last but not least, I’m going to bookmark that site as my default home page right now!
