WizCrypt is a cross-platform encryption tool that requires no configuration. Basically, it uses industry standard RC4 and MD5 encryption. However, the application will require Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 and above to work. (WizCrypt versions 1.x requires JRE 1.5 and above).
The utility runs in the form of command line execution, and operates in two modes.
- Encryption mode Whatever file is given as input, the same is encrypted, and saved with .wiz extension. You have to pass command line argument `-e’ for operating in this mode.
- Decryption mode Files with .wiz extension are converted back into ordinary file. You have to pass command line argument `-d’ for operating in this mode.
