Teatime 2.8.0 – Countdown Timer

Posted in Fun Stuff, Linux, Site News, Utilities

TeaTime

I often used Teatime in the KDE environment, but am happy that Gnome is having this in their package as well. Teatime is a nice little applet for your GNOME panel that helps, that you’ll never forget your tea anymore (of course, it’s not just tea).

Basically, it functions as a count-down timer and users can configure the time to count down.

Change Log

  • Replace the usage of gstreamer-0.8 with gstreamer-0.10 so it will compile with uptodate systems.

Precompiles Packages or automatic builds are available for Ubuntu, Debian (stable, testing, unstable), Mandriva, Alt Linux Sisyphus, ArchLinux User-community Repository (AUR), Lunar Linux, NexentaOS and T2. But, if you want to build from source, the link is below.

This small little applet is extremely handy, and I have been waiting for a Ubuntu package for quite some time. Highly recommended for every Linux system.
