It is possible to sniff Microsoft Messenger communicating within a network. Scanhill is that Microsoft Messenger Protocol Sniffer application.

It has the capability to intercept Instant Text Messages, which can be stored onto an RDMBS. It also supports mySQL storage. The stored instant messages can be read through a browser interface that is written in PHP language.
