Posted in Business Software, Fun Stuff, Mac OS, Site News, Software Companies, Utilities, Windows
Searching files on your desktop is more enhanced with Tagg 1.5.3, a small desktop search tool, which locates your files based on keyword meta data. Based on their creative innovation concept, files are “tagged” with associating keywords, such that these associations are stored within Tagg’s database, which are then resided on the hard disk or removable media devices.
When a file is required, users simply need to launch Tagg and enter any keywords attached to the file. Tagg will search its database and display the Tagged item, which has been previously created. To edit the item, just double-click on the item.
Some of these items can be tagged:
- – Digital Photos
- – Video files
- – Audio files
- – Microsoft Office Documents
- – PDF files
- – Files on removable media such as CD’s, DVD’s and Flashdisks
Note that, you will need Sun’s Java Runtime environment (JRE) to be installed before you can use Tagg. See the system requirement criterion below.
Requirements
- · 64 MB of RAM Recommended
- · 10 MB of free hard disk space (50 MB if JRE included)
- · JRE 1.4 or later (See below for explanation)
The file is available for free trial download, but a license will cost $19.99.
