Shared computers are usually found in communities, such as schools, libraries, Internet cafés and gaming cafés. With several computers, ranging from tens to hundreds or thousands, it can be really difficult and time-consuming. As Windows users, the desktop appearance can be changed, system settings can also be reconfigured; thus, costing time and effort to repair and maintain these computers.

The Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP provides a simple and effective way to defend shared computers from untrusted users and malicious software, safeguard system resources, and enhance and simplify the user experience. In this new version, the updates contain patches that resolve few known issues that were present in the previous version.

Note that, this application runs only on genuine copies of Windows XP; that is Windows XP Professional Edition, Home Edition and Tablet PC Edition. Validation will be required when installing this software.
