Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 Released Shortly

Shortly after the release of Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.5 last fortnight, the next version of Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 has gone public. Obviously something must have gone wrong in that previous version, and thus a quick patch is made and released within such a short period of time.

As expected, below are the security fixes to this version:

  • - Unescaped URIs passed to external programs
  • - Privilege escalation through chrome-loaded about:blank windows

It is vital to keep your Firefox browser patched, so update to this version as soon as possible!

You can either upgrading directly from the browser by clicking under Help > Check for Updates… or download the installation setup from the Mozilla server.
