Apple iTunes 8.0.1 – Security Release

Posted in Audio, Business Software, Fun Stuff, Mac OS, Site News, Software Companies, Video

Although I am not an avid fan of Apple (which many Apple / Mac fans will probably boycott me), I’m happy to inform that Apple has release the next version of Apple iTunes 8.0.1, as part of security fix over the version 8.0.

New Changes

  • • Seamlessly plays the current song when creating a new Genius playlist.
  • • Improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano.
  • • Addresses an issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading.
  • • Improves checking for updates from the App Store.
  • • Improves accessibility with VoiceOver.
  • • Addresses problems syncing Genius results to iPod.

Because this version provides a lot more performance and bug fixes, particularly security fixes, iTunes users are highly encouraged to upgrade to this latest version. If you are using Mac OS X, this update is available from the Software Update.

With the rising demand from the Linux community, the Linux-compatible version is also catching up with the Windows compatriot.

CPU-Z 1.4.7 Version Released

Posted in Fun Stuff, Site News, Software Companies, Utilities, Windows

Developed by CPUID, the next version of CPU-Z 1.4.7 is now released. This application is a free-ware that allows users to obtain information on some of the main devices on your computer system, such as CPU, Motherboard, Memory and Operating System.

Some of the new addition to the support of the chipset are as follow:

  • - Intel Core i7 processor.
  • - Intel Core 2 Duo S Mobile processors.
  • - NVIDIA MCP79/7A chipset.
  • - AMD 790GX / SB750 chipset.

Personally, I often use this application whenever I need to find a quick information on my Windows system, especially on the hardware details. The advantage of this software is that, it does not require any installation of the software for it to work. You can run it on-the-fly!
