Mozilla Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 – Finally Another Beta
Posted in Beta, Linux, Mac OS, Site News, Web Apps, Windows
I thought Mozilla Firefox 3.1.x will never release the next beta version any more; but as I was unsuspecting this outcome, Mozilla Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 has finally been released by Mozilla.
Below are some of the changes in this version:
- * Beta is now available in 64 languages.
- * Improved the new Private Browsing Mode.
- * Improvements to web worker thread support.
- * Improved performance and stability with the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
- * New native JSON support.
- * Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
- * Support for new web technologies such as the and elements, the W3C Geolocation API, JavaScript query selectors, CSS 2.1 and 3 properties, SVG transforms and offline applications.
As this is still currently under development stage, it is strongly advised not to deploy this version on your production machine. The official stable version of Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7 should be used instead.
